Started my Yoga journey on 8th August 2023. I had mixed feelings when i started. Felt it was not my place at all at the same time i felt i shouldn’t leave an opportunity knocking on my door.
Slowly i learnt Asanaas and its names too.Along with that, started understanding Yoga is not only about flexibility of the body but is also about straightening the mind. For example many a times, taking a pause helps me, rather than continuously doing actions.
Initially i was struggling to synchronize ny breath and the movement. Now i am much better.
Blocks/ difficulties which i come across is.. at times physics fatigue and some sort of dullness. A little push from me to join the class has helped and i have felt refreshed after the class!!
Am surprised that these
days am able to hold(touch ) my feet while doing Dhanur Aasana.
Every class surprises me. There were classes which i felt it was tailored for me, as if you have read my mind, not an exaggeration
When i do group practice, i get collective energy. When i practice individually i focus on breath awarness and try not to hurry. I tell myself to slow down if i feel the urge to finish. My pursuit is to be active and continue to do the yoga practice.Consistsncy in Aasana practice is working for me.
Because of my Aasana practice i am able to sit on the floor for one and a half hour comfortablly continuously when i go for Upanyasams.
So far giving instructions to myself while doing Aasana practice is not working. I really have to observe this and practice it.
Regarding online practice, the physical distance has made me become more attentive . In group practice, i get individual attention. After the session 5 minutes discussion adds more values, helps for more improvement
Although it is online, the freedom that i can go in person when it suits for both,can take direct classes, that comfort, warmth is there which boost up my confidence.
